About the Journal
Respiratory Research and Treatment (RRT) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research in respiratory pathophysiology, evidence-based therapeutics, and their integrated applications for pulmonary health. Published Semi-annually online by Cultech Publishing Sdn. Bhd., the journal bridges fundamental discoveries with clinical practice to address global challenges in respiratory disease management and public health.
Aim and Scope
RRT focuses on established and emerging research across pulmonary medicine, critical care, and respiratory science. The aim and scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
- Pathophysiological mechanisms of airway diseases (COPD, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, infections)
- Advanced diagnostic approaches (imaging technologies, biomarker validation, genomic profiling)
- Therapeutic developments in pharmacology, biologics, and regenerative medicine
- Interventional techniques (bronchoscopy, ventilation management, device-based therapies)
- Preventive medicine and population health strategies for respiratory disorders
The journal serves as a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, connecting basic scientists, clinicians, and public health experts to address global challenges in antimicrobial resistance, environmental lung diseases, health disparities, and respiratory pandemic response.
Open Access: This journal operates under a "gold" Open Access model, providing free access to all readers. The Article Processing Charges (APC) for all article types (research, review, case reports) is $0, and the content will be published under a CC BY license. To encourage submissions and support the research community, RRT currently levies no APC (0 APC). For specific APC policies, please refer to the Open Access policy section.
Rapid Publication: The manuscript processing cycle is approximately 12 weeks from submission to acceptance.
Recognition of Reviewers: reviewers who provide timely, thorough peer-review reports receive vouchers entitling them to a discount on the APC of their next publication in RRT, in appreciation of the work done.
